RESEARCH
Research is one of our foundational approaches to program implementation at the Center for Human Rights Studies of the Universitas Islam Indonesia alongside Education and Advocacy. To advance the human rights situation in Indonesia, we use the latest data collected from the field or other reliable sources. Through research, we are able to observe the existing human rights conditions with accurate precision. The data we derive acts as a basis to map problems and design targeted interventions as a solution to promote the human rights situation in Indonesia.
To date, the Center for Human Rights Studies of the Universitas Islam Indonesia applies the research approach in various programs. Among them are; research on the application of human rights law in court rulings; research on court accessibility and correctional facilities for people with disabilities; and research on fulfilling the rights to a fair trial before the law for people with disabilities.
