Scope of Work

The Center for Human Rights Studies of the Universitas Islam Indonesia (PUSHAM UII) is accustomed to conducting research and academic studies, both field-based and desk-based. To date, our research and academic studies have been a strong foundation for advocacy and efforts to bring positive changes at the policy, policy implementation, and community empowerment levels.
PUSHAM UII has received numerous consultations regarding policy and regulation evaluations at both national and regional levels. With its institutional capacity, PUSHAM UII is able to conduct evaluations for government and private sector policies and regulations, mapping out what is needed and what requires updating.
PUSHAM UII has been entrusted by government institutions, both at the central and regional levels, as well as private institutions, to draft Academic Scripts (AS), Draft Legislation, as well as Internal Organizational Regulations.
PUSHAM UII has received many consultations on legal matters, both from government and private institutions. Leveraging its institutional capacity, PUSHAM UII provides evidence-based inputs for the development of specific legal products.
PUSHAM UII has extensive experience in capacity building through training and education. It has been entrusted by government institutions, both at the central and regional levels, as well as private institutions, to conduct various training and education programs. Common training themes include human rights issues, business and human rights, vulnerable groups and human rights, state law, and democracy.
PUSHAM UII is also open to providing expert perspectives related to human rights if required in concrete cases. Both individually and institutionally, PUSHAM UII has previous experiences in serving as experts and friends of the court (amicus curiae).
The development of policy implementation mechanisms is an essential aspect to ensure that policies are implemented at the practical level. In this regard, PUSHAM UII has been involved in developing policy implementation mechanisms at the national level to ensure their practical application.
