ADVOCACY

Advocacy is one of our foundational approaches to program implementation at the Center for Human Rights Studies of the Universitas Islam Indonesia alongside Education and Research. To advance the human rights situation in Indonesia, we conduct advocacies for policies and the development of mechanisms for policy implementation. All of our advocacy efforts are research-based, ensuring the use of sufficient and strong data.

To date, the Center for Human Rights Studies of the Universitas Islam Indonesia has applied the advocacy approach in various programs. Among them are; Advocacy for the institutionalization of the Disability Service Unit (ULD) at the Correctional Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) in Indonesia; advocacy for a fair trial for people with disabilities in educational institutions at the Police Department, Attorney General Office, and Supreme Court; advocacy for the formulation of Youth Across Religions Forum, and various policy advocacy at the local and national level.
