The Center for Human Rights Studies of the Islamic Universitas Islam Indonesia (PUSHAM UII) is an independent research center within the Universitas Islam Indonesia. PUSHAM UII has full independence, which means it has the right and authority to determine its programs and collaborations with other institutions. PUSHAM UII’s relationship with the Universitas Islam Indonesia’s bureaucracy is based on coordination and not on authoritative order.
